The NEO SOLDERLESS SERIES is a plug and dedicated cable developed to be robust enough to withstand the harsh usage environment of professionals and the repeated insertion and removal required for system reconfiguration.
The dedicated cable called SLD-ZERO uses the precision conductor "102 SSC" developed in-house as the central conductor, and boasts a conductor area of 20AWG (0.56sq) despite its compact size of 4.0mm outer diameter. The braided shield is also made of the same material, and the grounding measures are adequately taken, so this cable has great potential as an audio cable.
In fact, it received high praise in a blind test by an audio magazine, beating out many other cables.
In response to the many voices calling for an RCA plug for audio use and to improve music production environments, we have developed a solderless RCA plug that combines similar durability and convenience, without compromising on sound quality.
●SLR-240 Solderless RCA Plug:
Unlike many solderless RCA plugs that are screwed in, the "Dual Crawled Locking System" uses two internal claws to tighten the cover to conduct the shield, and the mortar-shaped internal structure simultaneously holds down the cable itself, firmly integrating the plug and cable.
This also makes the contact between the conductor at the tip of the cable and the connector pin of the plug stronger. This structure has the same fit and durability as a normal soldered plug, and in some cases it can be said to be even stronger.
As proof of this, a durability test (180-degree bend test) with the cable connected boasted more than 18,000 continuous bends, and the electrical continuity inside the plug after bending and cutting did not short out or even break. This result also proves how durable the plugs of the NEO SOLDERLESS SERIES are.
●How to make a solderless cable:
1. Cut the SLD-ZERO cable for solderless plugs to the desired length.
2. Pass the cable through the cover and insert it firmly into the main body.
3. Tighten and secure the cover and main body with two wrenches (SP-10).
4. Complete.
[Precautions when using]
If you want to reuse it, place your fingers on the tabs on the main body, hold the cable, and gradually spread it apart. When the cable can be easily removed, pull out the cable. Because it is a brass part, if you try to spread it apart with force, the flange part may break and it may not be possible to reuse it.
●SLD-ZERO cable for solderless plugs:
The SLD-ZERO cable is designed exclusively for the NEO original solderless plug. The central conductor is made of precision conductor 102 SSC. It has a conductor diameter of AWG20 (0.56sq) and a braided shield made of 102 SSC with a high density of over 90%.
The insulator is made of a proprietary blend of PVC with moderate hardness, and the outer sheath is made of PVC containing carbon, so the central conductor is firmly connected to the plug, and the shield is tightened with the plug cover, ensuring reliable conductivity and strong cable fixation, achieving high strength and durability.
