OYAIDE SGBN Banana Plug (Set of 4)
Two years ago, with the cooperation of a plating factory, we worked together to find a new plating combination suitable for the speaker terminal connection plug, while maintaining the simple design, carefully selected details, and non-magnetic phosphor bronze material. SGBN” development has started. Based on thick 24K gold plating, we have produced more than 10 types of prototypes by changing the combination of plating materials and the thickness of each plating. After repeated comparative listening tests, we selected sterling silver + thick 24K gold plating, which yielded the best results in terms of sound quality and durability, and we took advantage of the long-term stability that gold plating provides and the good phase characteristics of the mid-range range. While taking full advantage of this, we have exquisitely tuned and upgraded it by applying silver plating to the base to extend the high range.
The tip diameter is selected using WBT speaker terminals as standard. Of course, we have repeatedly tested speaker terminals other than WBT, and it is also compatible with general banana plug receiving terminals. In order to securely clamp the cable conductor, a high-rigidity stainless steel set screw with a diameter of 5 mm is used for the cable insertion diameter (4 mm). This maximizes the contact area without letting the strands of the cable conductor escape, ensuring a perfect connection.
The main body is carefully buffed one by one by hand to give it a mirror finish. The perfectly polished body is plated twice with sterling silver and thick 24K gold plating, and together with the blue screw, it gives the "SGBN" a high-quality and elegant look.
