OYAIDE MCS-CF Cartridge Spacer 3 Pieces
Have you ever seen such a flexible cartridge spacer? The “MCS-CF” is an innovative multiple cartridge spacer with 6 levels of height adjustment.
The material is carbon FRP, which has been proven with HS-CF.
Set of 3 pieces, 1 each of 0.5mm/1.0mm/1.5mm thick.
By using them alone or stacking them, you can adjust the height in 6 steps in 0.5mm increments from a minimum of 0.5mm to a maximum of 3.0mm.
The contact surface with the cartridge is a generous 19mm x 23mm. It is compatible with all cartridges, both domestic and foreign, from the DECCA and SHURE M97 series with small contact surfaces, to the average-sized Audio-technica AT33 series, the large contact surfaces of the DENON DL103 series and Ortfon MC20/30 series, and even the circular contact surfaces of Ortfon Kontrapunkt/CADNEZA/Jubilee.*
*Cartridges such as the Ortfon SPU/Concorde series and EMT TSD series that are directly attached to dynamic tone arms without a shell are not included.

To accurately trace a record, the tone arm must be set parallel to the record surface while the needle tip is in contact with the record surface with the appropriate needle pressure (needle pressure adjustment and zero balance adjustment). However, the height from the top surface to the needle tip varies from product to product. Therefore, in the past, it was necessary to adjust the arm height every time the cartridge was replaced, but this was a very nerve-wracking task, and adjustments of 1 mm or less were especially difficult. In addition, depending on the record player, there was a problem that the tone arm would not lower to the desired position, making it impossible to use a low-profile cartridge with the ideal setting.
With the “MCS-CF”, you can adjust the height in 6 steps from 0.5 to 3.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments, allowing the cartridge needle tip to fit perfectly on the record surface. There is no need to adjust the tonearm height for each cartridge*. By inserting the required number of “MCS-CF” between your cartridge and headshell, you can immediately use the cartridge with the best setting.
After setting the highest cartridge to the stylus tip and adjusting the tonearm height, insert “MCS-CF” according to the difference in the height of each cartridge.
