●CFRP shell
What is most required by the head shell. It is lightweight, yet highly rigid and tough, and quickly attenuates vibrations. Oyaide Electric has selected CFRP as the best material to meet those requirements.
The 4mm thick shell is made of 17 layers of prepreg material (carbon fiberboard). In order to maximize vibration damping characteristics from the design stage, all but one layer in the center were aligned in a single direction. Additionally, the matrix uses high-toughness epoxy resin, and the strength properties do not change semi-permanently. Furthermore, we are particular about the shape. The shell part is integrally angle molded using a mold, as it dislikes the disturbance of the vibration moment caused by bonding with adhesive. Each piece is then machined using CNC machining and completed as a part.
Oyaide Electric's commitment to high quality is also demonstrated in the CFRP material that forms the head shell. The core prepreg material is Toray's high-strength carbon fiber "T700", which is also used in Boeing's new aircraft. The surface material uses Toray's carbon fiber "T300" (1K cloth). This carbon cloth gives a strong impression of the charm of HS-CF, which exudes a Spartan atmosphere despite its elegance.

Under advanced production control, we perform continuous casting using a high-frequency electric furnace, cold rolling in 19 steps, annealing twice, drawing with diamond dies, skin pass processing, etc., and not only have high purity silver, but also crystal grain boundaries. Uses high-quality "high-purity silver wire" with no gaps. These 0.2mm 5N sterling silver single wires manufactured under advanced production control are twisted into 7 pieces to ensure sufficient cross-sectional area (0.2sq.
