The HPSC Series is a new series of headphone and portable audio cables from Oyaide Electric that introduces the precision conductors "102 SSC" and "Silk". The precision conductor "102 SSC" is a conductor for audio cables created by Oyaide Electric and has already earned high praise around the world. The core of this technology is based on oxygen-free copper, and is supported by Japan's world-class copper drawing and wire drawing technology, including "mechanical peeling" that physically removes 100% of the impurities on the copper wire surface, "natural diamond dies" that smooth the copper wire surface to the utmost, two heat treatments with strict temperature control, and thorough management of the uniformity of the wire diameter with a processing accuracy of ±1μm or less. This is the source of the clear and wide-range sound of the HPSC Series. The signal line made of precision conductor "102 SSC" has a generous thickness of 0.3 square. From delicate high frequencies to powerful low frequencies, delicate headphone output is transmitted faithfully without hesitation. The precision conductor "102 SSC" is also used for the shield, making it a spiral shield with excellent flexibility.

The HPSC Series is a new series that replaces the HPC Series. Its key technologies are "precision conductor 102 SSC" and "silk". The cable conductor uses "Precision Conductor 102 SSC" as a new material to replace PCOCC-A. "Precision Conductor 102 SSC", created by Oyaide Electric, has already been highly praised around the world as a high-end audio cable, but this is the first time it has been used in a headphone cable. The conductor configuration is a 7/7/0.089 rope twist with excellent bending resistance, and its thickness is a generous 0.3 square. From delicate high frequencies to powerful low frequencies, delicate headphone output is transmitted faithfully without hesitation. "Precision Conductor 102 SSC" is also used for the shield, making it a spiral shield with excellent flexibility.
-Pure Silk Filament
The intermediate material uses 100% pure silk filament, which has low electrostatic capacitance and does not charge static electricity. When a signal flows through the cable, weak vibrations are generated, and substances that are charged with static electricity will undergo corona discharge due to the vibrations. To solve this problem, a silk filament is mounted. In addition, the exterior of the cable is also covered with a "100% pure silk jacket". These synergistic effects have significantly reduced noise without compromising flexibility. The chic cable color, a mosaic of white and black, matches any headphones seamlessly.

Plugs specially designed to give the cable a unique identity. The metal parts are made of brass that meets the European RoHS directive. The contact points, which are the key to signal transmission, are directly plated with 1.5μ thick silver and then plated with 0.3μ thick rhodium. This prevents corrosion of the contacts and contributes to improving transmission characteristics.
Oyaide Electric's craftsmanship is also reflected in the outer shell of the cable. Each piece is carefully cut by NC machining, precisely knurled, and finished with berichrome plating, just like a camera lens. In addition, these plugs are connected to the cable using the audio-only solder "SS-47".

・Sound-specific solder "SS-47"
For soldering the wiring, Oyaide Electric's original sound-specific solder "SS-47" is used. For cost reasons, regular solder has a tin purity of about 99.9% (3N). "SS-47" uses high-purity tin of 99.993% (4N) or more, which is even more pure and eliminates impurities to the maximum extent possible. In addition, silver and copper are blended to improve conductivity and prevent solder from eroding. Moreover, while the silver blend ratio for regular alloy solder is 3 to 3.5%, "SS-47" generously uses a whopping 4.7%. In addition, 1.7% copper, which has the second highest conductivity among metals after silver, is blended. This blend ratio dramatically improves conductivity and successfully sets the eutectic point at 217 degrees.
Of course, these blend ratios were not determined solely by numerical data and workability. We believe that sound quality should be the top priority when labeling a solder for audio equipment. "SS-47" was created through countless listening tests of prototype models with various compounding ratios.
