The key technologies of "HPSC-35/63" are "Precision Conductor 102 SSC" and "Silk". The cable conductor uses "Precision Conductor 102 SSC" instead of the PCOCC-A conductor of the previous model. “Precision Conductor 102 SSC” is a conductor for high-end audio cables created by Oyaide Electric and has already received high praise all over the world. The conductor structure is a 7/7/0.089 twisted rope with excellent bending resistance, and its thickness is a comfortable 0.3 square. The interposition uses 100% pure silk filament that has low capacitance and does not charge static electricity. When a signal flows through the cable, a slight vibration is generated, and the electrostatically charged material causes a corona discharge due to the vibration. To solve this problem, mount silk filaments. Furthermore, the cable's exterior is covered with a "100% pure silk jacket." These synergistic effects significantly reduce noise without sacrificing flexibility. The chic white and black mosaic cable color matches any type of headphones.
●Original terminal connector:
Specially designed plugs to give you a unique identity. The metal parts are made of brass, which complies with the European RoHS Directive. The contact points, which are the key to signal transmission, are directly plated with 1.5μ thick silver, and the surface is further plated with 0.3μ thick rhodium. This prevents contact corrosion and contributes to improving transmission characteristics.
Oyaide Electric's craftsmanship is also reflected in the outer shell. Each piece is carefully cut using NC machining, and after precisely knurling, it is finished with Verichrome plating, similar to camera lenses. In addition, these plugs are connected to the cable using audio-specific solder "SS-47".
Paying attention to aesthetics down to the details and creating the highest quality. This attitude is the theme that Oyaide Denki will continue to pursue. The essence of Japanese craftsmanship resides in every detailed and careful finish.
●Solder for acoustics “SS-47”:
For soldering the wiring, Oyaide Electric's original acoustic solder "SS-47" is used. Ordinary solder has tin purity of around 99.9% (3N) due to cost considerations. "SS-47" further increases purity and eliminates impurities to the utmost, and uses high purity tin of over 99.993% (4N). Additionally, silver and copper are added to improve conductivity and prevent solder from being eaten away. Moreover, in the case of ordinary alloy solder, the silver content is 3 to 3.5%, but "SS-47" contains a generous amount of 4.7%. Furthermore, it contains 1.7% copper, which has the second highest conductivity among metals after silver. With this compounding ratio, the conductivity improved dramatically and we succeeded in setting the eutectic point at 217 degrees.
Of course, these compounding ratios were not determined solely based on numerical data and workability. We believe that sound quality should be given top priority in order to be labeled as audio solder. "SS-47" was created through numerous hearing tests of prototype models with various blending ratios.
