The AS-808 V2 series is a coaxial cable for professional use that uses Oyaide Electric's "Precision Conductor 102 SSC".
[AS-808 V2 Series Product Features]
■The precision conductor "102 SSC" is used for the center conductor. "102 SSC" uses only virgin copper that does not contain recycled copper. Not only do we use this carefully selected base material, but we also use a wide range of techniques, such as mechanical peeling to remove copper impurities, drawing with natural diamond dies, and annealing twice during the process, to smooth the conductor surface to the utmost (Special Surface Copper). As a result, we have achieved an excellent conductivity (102.3% IACS) that far exceeds that of ordinary copper wire. In addition, the wire diameter has achieved within ±1μm, far exceeding the standard error tolerance of ±8μm. Furthermore, we place importance on the freshness of the conductor, and have put into practice production management and other thorough attention to invisible parts, such as minimizing shipping and manufacturing start times.
By adopting a 1.0Φ single wire, which has a sufficient conductor diameter, and the high-quality precision conductor "102 SSC", transmission loss due to conductor resistance is prevented.
■A cordel structure is used between the central conductor and the polyethylene tube, with an air layer between the inclusion and the polyethylene string. This realizes an ultra-low loss coaxial cable that suppresses dielectric loss due to the insulator.
■The shield is double shielded with a copper foil shield boasting a shielding rate of 100% and a "102 SSC" mesh shield with a shielding rate of 90%.
■The outer diameter of the cable is equivalent to 4C (6.6 mm), while the diameter of the center conductor is equivalent to 5C (1.0 mm), achieving both the ease of handling of 4C wires and the stable transmission capacity of 5C wires.
■The RCA plug uses an original Oyaide Electric plug. The center pin of this RCA plug has a tube structure to ensure the signal transmission area. In addition, the contact part is plated with highly durable 24K gold to protect the contacts from oxidation. The internal insulation material uses FEP with a low dielectric constant to reduce transmission loss.
■The BNC plug, which achieves accurate impedance, has a highly rigid three-body structure made of brass and Delrin. The internal insulation material uses FEP with a low dielectric constant to reduce transmission loss.
